John A. Bennett
President & CEO

Devon International Group

For the last 20 years, Dr. John A. Bennett, M.D., has been one of the most recognized entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia area. A local and national leader in the healthcare and technology industries, Dr. Bennett is currently the President and CEO of the Devon International Group.

Dr. Bennett joined Delaware County Memorial Hospital as an emergency room physician in 1978. Three years later, he was elected to the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee and made Director of Emergency Services. In June of 1984, he was elected president of the Medical Executive Committee.

In 1984, he founded ATI Centers, Inc., which consisted of 13 outpatient diagnostic imaging and physical therapy centers located throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Fueled by immediate interest in the company, Dr. Bennett and a handful of employees set out to build a preferred provider organization (PPO) with services to encompass all provider specialties – and succeeded. Renamed Devon Health Services, Inc. in 1995, the PPO is now operating at the national level and covers 3,000,000 lives with a staff of more than 120 employees.

The success of Devon Health has given Dr. Bennett the opportunity to expand into different the different sectors of DIG, including technology and international relations. He owns Devon IT, Inc., an IBM Business Partner, and a number of companies operating in the United States, China, and India.

Dr. Bennett is a true entrepreneur who identifies unique products and services that enhance global business. His work takes him throughout the world, where his international relationships and business partnerships help drive revenue in domestic markets.

Charles Falcone
President
Devon Health Services, Inc.

Mr. Falcone was named President of Devon Health in August 2004. As one of the company’s first full-time employees 11 years ago, he was instrumental in the development of Devon Health.

Prior to being named President, Mr. Falcone served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for five years. Under his leadership, Devon Health has experienced precipitous revenue and profitability growth.

Mr. Falcone’s expertise in managed care has given Devon Health the opportunity to adapt to the ever-changing healthcare industry. This focus allowed Devon Health to spearhead various initiatives designed to lower healthcare costs for clients and members and develop strong relationships with providers. In 2005, under Mr. Falcone’s leadership, Devon Health developed two wholly-owned subsidiaries and a strategic partnership that address various physician needs.

In 2004 Mr. Falcone was a recipient of Philadelphia Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” award, and in 2006 was appointed to the Board of Directors for the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO).

Joe Makoid
President
Devon IT

Mr. Makoid is a 20-year technology industry veteran. Since Devon IT’s inception, the company has grown to become one of the largest providers of thin clients in the industry. Under his leadership, Devon IT became an integral IBM Business Partner and has several renowned international companies as clients, including the International Bank of China.

Under Mr. Makoid’s leadership, Devon IT invested $8 million in research & development with IBM to create next-generation computing technologies. Devon IT thin clients and integration software work with IBM BladeCenters to produce secure, cost-efficient “green” IT solutions. The company continues to invest money with IBM for R&D of other products.

Prior to joining Devon IT, Mr. Makoid co-founded Bus-Tech, the industry's largest supplier of interconnect controllers, and was instrumental in selling the company to Network Systems Corp. He founded Data Center Direct and expanded the scope to include the Management Services Provider model. Data Center Direct was acquired by Safeguard in 2000 to provide the foundation for Safeguard Global Services.

Steve Delozier
President
SMI

Mr. Delozier has over 25 years of healthcare experience. He has a background in every aspect of healthcare, from hospital relations, managed care, business development, sales, marketing, and operations, as well as physician practice management. He reengineered several companies to increase their productivity and efficiency, and was instrumental in starting numerous ancillary facilities, such as blood laboratories, radiology centers, physical therapy centers, urgent care facilities, and occupational health centers.

Mr. Delozier recently launched a podcast series on the rise of new media. He has also worked on a number of healthcare-related projects with Dr. John A. Bennett, President and CEO of DIG.

Ruth Wu
Executive Vice President
Devon International

Ms. Wu oversees operation processes for Devon International, and is the liaison between DIG’s Chinese headquarters and its sales teams and clients.

Before joining DIG, Ms. Wu worked for JP Morgan Chase in Taiwan for five years. She gained extensive experience in international trade and banking practices en route to her role in the Corporation Banking Department. She then became an authorized signer and Portfolio Management Associate for the Asia Capital Credit Department.

Ms. Wu received her Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Drexel University and is accredited Beta Gamma Sigma by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACAB) International, the Business School’s honor society.

Francis A. Lutz
Chief Financial Officer
Devon International Group

Mr. Lutz is responsible for DIG’s group business planning operations, strategic alliances, corporate acquisitions, and financial management. He brings over 20 years of financial experience to the DIG executive team, including 15 years of international markets experience. Prior to joining DIG, Mr. Lutz served as Director of Private Client Services for Wilmington Advisors, the wealth management arm of WSFS Financial Corp, where he managed multi-faceted, high net worth individual, corporate, and institutional relationships. He has also served in past positions as Managing Director in Corporate & Investment Banking Group for TD Securities, overseeing Asian markets based from Singapore. Mr. Lutz began his career at the Philadelphia National Bank in 1985 where he served in various corporate banking and international finance roles both from the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Lutz received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College. He serves as a trustee for various civic, educational, religious, and charitable organizations.

Robert B. Mulhern, Jr., Esquire
General Counsel
Devon International Group

Mr. Mulhern brings over 25 years of legal experience to DIG. He is integral in the strategic alignment of the DIG companies, and manages their various day-to-day legal activities.

His previous post was as a partner at Swartz Campbell LLC in Philadelphia, where he specialized in the defense of medical malpractice and other civil litigation cases, and was a member of the firm’s management committee. He is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, and he has been named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list in 2005, 2006, 2007 (Top 100 in Pennsylvania) and 2008.

Mr. Mulhern attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude in 1976. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 1981. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Devon Preparatory School and the President of its Alumni Association, and he is also involved in several other charitable endeavors.
