It’s the time of the year for another quarterly party! The DIG employees gathered together last Thursday to catch up on each company’s latest news and to interact with each other.  Dr. John A. Bennett started off the event by showing his appreciation to everyone working in the company, especially to his new assistant, Adrienne, who planned and set up such a great event.

This year there was a refreshing change at the party.  Instead of the executives being the speakers, it was the “employees in the spotlight” on the mikes this time. Here is a recap of the event:

  • Laura from Devon IT shared exciting reports of new software releases and updates, and thanked the team she works with for working under pressure to execute both international and domestic business effectively.
  • Consilium welcomed several new clients this quarter and proudly named a few.  John mentioned that the new Life of a Claim video released on Consilium’s website was put together beautifully and was a cross-department success between Consilium and Marketing.
  • Felicia from Devon Health Services was excited to announce CHOP as a new partner that was recruited.
  • Rocco from Devon Medical Products informed everyone of all the medical product lines coming down the pike – extriCARE® 3600 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System with foam kits just received FDA approval, we will be expecting Nature’s Bond® Breast Pumps, Cirona™ 6200 Deep Vein Thrombosis System, and BounceBack™ Cold Therapy System.  With such a busy agenda, this team has been working very hard.
  •  Helene from Devon Office Furniture told us that they recently hired Jane as a new designer and that things have been transitioning smoothly. Their next exciting project is to create an E-Commerce website with Marketing.
  • Dr John A. Bennett concluded the event by giving some more great news about DIG globally – DIG’s ferry business in Sierra Leone, originally a philanthropy project sponsored by Devon Cares, is now #1 in the country with another ferry business to be opened in Nigeria soon.

After the announcements, employees enjoyed a relaxing afternoon outside with a brief trivia session, outdoor and board games such as ladderball, corn hole and Jenga, etc.  Music and delicious food were provided for the rest of the day (thanks to our building services team for the grilled feast).
